Archeological park Āraiši

Uniqueness of the park is reconstructed ancient settlement from 9th-10th centuries on the lake according precise archeological findings in the Āraiši lake.The Park also have medieval castle ruins, prototypes of dwellings from Stone and Bronze Ages. Guided excursions about the lifestyle of ancient Latgalians and building traditions. Visitor center.

A permanent exhibition at the visitor centre of the Āraiši ezerpils Archaeological Park is open to the public from 1 July, 2020. The exhibition provides insight into the original evidence retrieved from excavations and features the story of archaeologist Jānis Apals.
